EP 158 – Eat This: Facial Diagnosis. What can your face tell you about your health?

When you look at the mirror, what do you see if you pause for a moment? Put the judgment down for a second, and look at your face, your features like eyebrows, eyes, nose, mouth, skin texture, hairline, or lack thereof, where your ears are set on your head. As we age, we go through the stresses of life, which might include an injury or event that alters the trajectory of your life, and the lines and changes that happen over time can tell a story about your personality and health. Yes, that line between your eyebrows that you’d rather inject Botox into means something. The creases in your forehead and down from your nose to your chin, not far from your mouth, also tell a story. Wrinkles and those lines that show up with a smile called laugh lines can show a life lived with deep belly laughs and lots of giggles.

Sometimes when I look at a person walking down the street, I can almost feel the pain and suffering by looking at their face, and I’m no expert like our guest today. Much of your life can translate to every part of your face, and you aren’t likely to see what Dr. Todd does with his expertise in facial diagnosis. He is a master of facial diagnosis for health, and he can also eerily tell you about your personality without knowing you. So today, on EAT THIS with Lianne, facial diagnosis and what your face can tell you about your health and your personality.

The power of learning new things is expansive and never-ending. This practice of facial diagnosis is one that I know enough about to know that when I look at my loved ones, and something has changed on their face, or I can see more of the whites of their eyes, or I notice a new crease in their ear, there is a reason. I may not be able to put my finger on it, but after being in a conference room many times with Dr. Todd and being lucky enough to sit by him at a dinner table with him, you are in for a treat today.

Dr. Todd was a chiropractor for 37 years, specializing in nutrition, homeopathy, kinesiology, acupuncture, iridology, traditional Chinese medicine, and facial diagnosis. He is also the founder and developer of the SHAPE ReClaimed program and remedies for inflammation and weight management. He has retired and spends his time teaching doctors as much wisdom that he has garnered over his career, and I have had the pleasure to know him for many years, have my face read, my daughters, and my ex-husband, which garnered a gasp, and my partner, Paul – who did not garner a gasp! His book, WTF, Why the Face, has been on my bookshelf since it came out in 2019, and it’s all still sinking in.
