Today you’re in for a real fun ride in this episode! And to change things up and keep it all real and interesting, this week it’s time for a different type of self-care medicine: LAUGHTER! While the past two weeks of focusing on self-care, mindful, meditative, and even orgasmic eating, we also need to stay fresh like those recently picked summertime strawberries that I’ve bought at the farmers market the past two weeks!
Sidebar: If you’re not listening to the episodes in order and I just piqued your interest with the mention of “orgasmic eating”: don’t worry, you can go back to last week’s episode and catch up. They’re not going anywhere!
Today, I have two guests and they’re going to share some totally useless, totally entertaining food facts on this week’s episode of this of Eat This with Lianne.
You guys know I’m always trying to look out for you with the latest nutrition tips and tricks, but sometimes, I get that you just wanna kick back and relax. Plus, with the quarantine life, we continue to live with a lot of work from home and virtual calls and meetings, so you may need to up your Zoom trivia skills. You might also need a break from all the anxieties of the world. Or you might just want something that has nothing to do with anything. I totally get that! You’re in the right place.
So, to help keep your spirits up, this episode – Totally Useless Information with a spin on food, featuring Nick and Roy of the Totally Useless Information Podcast. They’re going to share some wildly entertaining information with us that not even I’m fully prepared for.
What we’re discussing this week:
To give you a sense of how strange this episode is, this is all Nick and Roy sent me when I asked them for their notes:
- Stolen Food
- Patience and ketchup
- Please, no more lobster!
- Washington apples
- Fruit facts that stick
You’ll have to listen to this episode for more details. But I’d love for you to let me know which totally useless fact was your favourite after listening.
(Spoiler: I loved the one about throwing away those oysters because I LOVE oysters. I would have been out there grabbing all those that were not ‘fit’ for the prisoners).
